Stan,

I am 23 years old and just underwent the tilt table test within the past year. I have been having fainting spells for various reasons, and recently they have been getting worse, until I went in for testing. You may not think that the table will have any effect, but it will. At the part where they actually titlted the table, I started passing out after 8 minutes. The doctors will keep you hooked up to check out all your vitals and bring you back out from passing out. Before they actually tilt the table they may have you breathe very heavily to see if that makes you pass out as well. It can be a little scarey since if you feel like you are going to faint, you cant move or get down to the floor. After my test, I was diagnosed witih vaso and went on a beta blocker. Overall, if done correctly, the test will definitely help. Good Luck and Take Care!
