Progressive symptoms?

My daughters condition has gone from an episode about every other day - to 4-5 episodes a day - to now having anywhere from 4-7 and many that she has no warning they are coming. She has blacked out 4-5 times and smacked her face on the hard floor. Can anyone tell me if this is something that is PROGRESSIVE? We were dealing well with the few a day but it is so hard now that she does not know when most of them are coming. I just need some advice and to hear from some of you if you have had this experience. There still is not a real pattern to her episodes - most of the surprise attacks are after standing up but not always (she also fell out of a chair). The doctors have changed meds from 1) Atenolol 50 mg/day to 2) added Florinef and then 3) when episodes became mulitples and with injury, they dropped those and put her on Midodrine 5mg 3 times/day. Today is the 4th day on this and very little if any improvement. Thanks for any info/help you can give.
