Our 17 yr. old daughter had another vasal vagal episode which sent her to the emergency for treatment. She began having these episodes within the last 2 yrs. I know the last two were during her period. She had a slight seizure, was unresponsive, clammy, chaulky, her pulse was difficult to find, blood pressure 80/40, extremely tired and lathargic. The emergency room doctor, more or less, blamed the symptoms on teenage bad eating/sleeping habits and dehydration, did some lab work (which was all normal), put her on an IV and sent her home. I am very concerned that these symptoms are trigger by something during her periods. Can anyone give some light on vasal vagal episodes and periods??
