You need to be very careful when doing this - it needs to be monitored. Have you tried adding small amounts of salt to her food? Salt tablets require medical supervision and should only be used in those circumstances.

Sometimes people have blood pressure spikes as well with this condition. I was given salt tablets and not monitored and my blood pressure became dangerously high when I was lying down and I had constant bad headaches.
