Vaso-Vagal Question

For the past 3 months I have been having light headed, dizzy spells out of the blue- usually when driving. My hands and feel get clammy and I ,feel as though I am going to pass out but I don't. My doctor has said this is all anxiety related, but I am beginning to question that. They have done and EEG and a heart sonogram and that was fine. Could what I am experiencing be vaso-vagal? I had never even heard of this until my 3-year old daughter was diagnosed with it recently after a fainting after a bump to the head about a year ago and then a finger prick more recently. Thanks!
