Went to my family physician after fainting episodes continued and was sent directly to my cardiologist because my pulse was 40. Cardio sent me directly to the hospital. After three days of tests, no heart problems, and for a 62 year old obese woman, my heart was excellent, BUT my heart beat still low, but up to lower 50's. No one there seems to take me seriously about the vasovagal symptoms I tried to describe! Still haven't been to the endocrinologist, but hopefully that will help when I go next week. The latest round of fainting/nausea episodes seemed to have been set off by taking metformin 500 cr for recently diagnosed borderline type 2 diabetes.
