I am 49, and have had attacks while running. I run about 3 miles a day and this has happened to me three times (where I have fainted) in the past 5 years. I've had all the usual tests--was positive on the tilt table test and take pindolol. Running is important to me, so I am very discouraged right now. The doctors tell me I still can, but after the latest trip to the emergency room I feel kind of stupid. Does anyone else have this problem exclusively while exercising? I had one other fainting episode when I was twenty. I'm hoping maybe stepping up the salt and liquids will help.
