My daughter is 7 years old. She has begun to have fainting episodes... during a recent week she had up to four per day. After the VV diagnosis she has learned to abort fainting spells by lying down. I am concerned however, as the other evening when she had been laying around for about 30 minutes, I happened to put my head on her chest for a hug and noticed her heart was POUNDING! I counted around 200 beats per min... at rest! She has since seen a cardiologist who says we can not do a heart monitor because my daughter can't identify when her symptoms are happening (she doesn't feel it.) and her EKG was normal. She goes through periods of being soooo tired, and pale for days on end. Her heart rate is pretty eradic as I have checked it daily since this incident. Is rapid and eratic heart rate normal with VVS? Thank you for any input you have.
