i am a 27 yr. old female. currently 6 months pregnant with my second child. i have read all these posts from you and researched on the internet and i don't fit exactly in with most of you. i have never passed out or fainted. 2 days ago i was visiting my friend and throwing a party for her out of state. while sitting and eating a sandwhich, all of a sudden i felt like i couldn't swallow anymore. i felt like i might throw up so i went into the bathroom. that is when i started to sweat- and i mean- i was suddenly drenched wet and sweating from every poor. i got weak and had to lay on the ground. my heart was the scariest part- as it was POUNDING and struggling like it was about to stop. everyone was talking to me and i could hear and understand them, but it was difficult for me to talk. i was slightly short of breath. i really thought i was having a heart attack and was going to die for sure. this HAS happened to me before, but only this extreme one or 2 other times over the last 4 years. i feel i may have a heart condition? i started to feel better slowly after about 8 minutes. the ambulance was called. i was able to walk an talk about 1/2 hr. later but still felt weak. my BP was 90/60 when i was released and they told me i had low BP and had had a vasovagal episode. i am scared it might be something else like a heart attack! also, i have felt heart palpitations before off and on throughout my life but haven't had it "checked out". this vasovagal stuff is unclear to me it seems to mean fainting but i never have! please help me!!!!
