I have had 3 attacks within 4 years. Two attacks occurred on the plane. Talk about being mortified and embarrassed! My feeling is one of feeling as if I am going to "check out". My ears begin to ring and then my tongue as well as my legs and arms just do not want to move. I would rather keep my eyes closed and yet I hear my husband telling me to move your legs and arms. I break out into a perspiring mess, the sweat literally just pouring off my face. I feel as if I could have a bowel movement too and remember, I am on the plane! Another time I was sitting on the toilet and I fainted. Next thing I know, I am in an awkward position wondering why my necks is killing me!! I had hit my head on the shower door knob and blood was all over the door as well as me. Again, I could not talk or respond to my husband' s questions. Afterwards, I was exhausted. I am 55 years old. It is a very scary thing to go through. What is bad is that you don't know when it will happen.
