Yesterday was the first time I had had a fainting spell in apublic place which was extremely frightening.I have always only ever fainted at home. My experience with this condition has taken place over the past 25 years & only yesterday a doctor ( oncologist ) was present & he said it was vagas syndrome. I had never been given a name prior to this moment, even though I have dicussed this with several doctors over the years. My body begins to feel hot, I feel a little nauseus & also I need to use my bowels.Usually whilst there, I can feel I am about to faint & remove myself & either lay on the bathroom floor, if I feel I do not have time to get to my bed or actually have time to get to my bed.Over the years I have fainted at least 6 times. It seems to happen 2-3 times a year. I believe it may be stress related, my bowel goes into a spasm & then I experience these symptoms as I have explained. Today after this happening yesterday in a public place I have made an appoinment to see my GP & also my Physician. With thanks for your site, Thelma Lagonik..........
