I have just experienced a vesovegal reation. After eating a steak I felt naseaus,broke out in a heavy sweat and headed for the bathroom.After reaching the door I remember nothing until I woke up on the floor with my wife leaning over me talking to 911, and telling them that my head had crashed thru the bathroom wall, and there was vomit all around.After paramedics arrived they took me to the hospital. On the way they took my vitals and said my blood sugar was 57 and my blood pressure was 130 over 110. I am not diabetic, but I do have high blood pressure that I take meds for.After receiving heart monitoring tests it was determined that I had a vesovegal episode. All my vitals had returned to normal and a post exam with my doctor confirmed this diagnosis.The main after effect is that I injured my right eye when I went thru the wall and broke my glasses.It will take about 2 weeks before I can return to work.
