I thought I was the only one going through this. I have never been allergic to anesthetics but. The first episode I had was after receiving local to stitch up my laceration after having my daughter. I actually came to a point where I was non-responsive. I was awake but could not move any part of my body except my eyes. I never lost bowel/urinary continence or breathing but was unable to move any part of my body. Ever since then, I have the same reaction to any anesthetic and Benadryl/antihistamines/decongestants now do the same thing. My BP bottoms out and I start having the vaso-vagal symptoms.
