I had my first episode yesterday in a restaurant and was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. What my friend was convinced was too successive seizures was diagnosed as a vasa-vagal reaction to bumping my knee. I felt nautious and then I went stiff as a board and fell, eyes wide open and unconscious for about a minute. I woke up crying and disoriented. They put me back in the chair and it happened a second time. I have a few quesitons. (1) Is it normal to go stiff as a board during vasa vagal? (2) Is it normal to have open, rolled-back eyes and what was described as slight "foaming" and the mouth (likely just saliva)? (3) Last and most importantly, I am suddenly having memory problems for commonplace names and numbers including my home address and names of friends. I recognize them but cannot come up with the ame unless it is given to me. I this a common side-effect of a vasa-vagal experience? Thanks so much for anyh help you can give!
