tilt table test questions

I have had vaso vagal episodes for almost a year now. When they first started I was in college and they kept admitting me to the hospital to do more tests, but all the tests results were normal. They did a tilt table test but didn't diagnose me with vvs then--that came several months later with a different doctor. Now I'm wondering if they did the test right. Do you have to pass out during the test to be diagnosed, or does it just have to be some of the symptoms? I didn't pass out, but the doctor who was giving the test said there were a couple of times when he thought I might. Do they always give you medicine or drugs as part of the test? They didn't do that for me. My current doctor is sure I have vvs, but I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to re-do the tilt table test to make sure, especially since I'm going back to college in less than a month.
