PAcemakers are not the end-all solution- I suspect that this empowers many people to deal with the anxiety- knowing you're in control.

For me- I resisted 3 cardiologists advice for the surgery and instead enrolled in a MEDITATION class in a hospital- using the book by John KABAT-ZINN called "catastrophic living"- Proud to be sympom free for 3 years and counting.
