How scary this must be for you, as a mom!

I wouldn't consider myself the type to have fainting spells or panic/anxiety attacks, either. But, I do have them. Not too often, thankfully (maybe every 4 months or so). My first faint was caused by cutting my finger at 16 yo....no big deal, didn't even hurt much. But I dropped like a stone -- twice.

Actually, your daughter's reactions sound common for V-V. And from what I understand, it is not uncommon for a person who has V-V attacks to occasionally have panic attacks, too. The terrifying V-V symptoms are horrible to go thru, so sometimes when there's a chance you might trigger V-V your body goes into super-overdrive and a panic attack can occur.

I hope your daughter doesn't lose her adventurous personality due to this condition! Many people continue to live full lives, unhindered by the V-V; just keeping friends and family aware of what to do in the event an attack occurs.

Best of luck to you and your daughter.
