Long story short back in Jan. 2005 my heart stopped at least six times then had a pacemaker put in. After six weeks I started having vaso-vagal episodes but I am sure I was having them before my heart stopped. The doctors have me on medication for vaso-vagal. Last week--end of May 2005 I had 21 episodes in one day. Oh fun. Docs doubled my medication. This is a bandaid fix in my eyes. I may be going to Mayo Clinic in June. Please stop worrying about a scar from the pacemaker. It will gradually fade away. 2 1/2 inches long it will look like a crease in the skin. The scar is the least of your concerns if it fixes your problems. Right? By the way I had the surgery twice in 4 weeks because the wire lead came loose. Oh well. By the way I am a triathlete and I am now training 6 days a week with no limitations in movement of my arms or anything else. Weight training, swimming, biking and running. I wish you the best.
