I had similar episodes leading up to my heart stopping. I am not kidding. Sinus Node stopped sending impulse to heart to keep it kicking and ticking. Stopped more than 6 times. I am lucky to be alive thanks to my 25 year old daughter knowing what to do. I now have a pacemaker and am under medication for the vaso-vagal. Last week I had 21 episodes in one day. Doctor said double the dosage. This is a bandaid to me fix so I am going to MAYO clinic in a week. By the way I am a serious triathlete and my heart is in great shape. I am training everyday with doctors approval. Feeling great but I want answers... Good luck with your husband.
