I am in my sixties and have only passed out about a dozen times altogether. I do make a distinction between a 'syncope' and a 'disease.' Dehydration is often a trigger for me, as is not filling well (stomach virus, etc.). Lots of people who are dehydrated or not well, don't pass out. Those of us who have VV need to watch for signs carefully to see if we can avoid what is sometimes inevitable..
