tinnitus and vaso-vagal

Just one more thought--

I was just reading this wonderful forum, with so much good information and read that s.o. was talking about fainting and hitting his/her head.

Just a little over a year ago, I went to a NTG for a hearing test and diagnosis of this horrible tinnitus that I had developed. For those who might not know, tinnitus is a ringing or swooshing sound in the ears that doesn't ever abate--a common reaction when first diagnosed is suicidal thoughts, b/c it's so heartbreaking and horrible to think you have to learn to live w/this noise for the rest of your life. Anyway, the specialist asked, first thing, if I had ever received a severe blow to the head, and I said no. But, now that I think about it, I must have recieved several--each time I passed out. If anyone else has tinnitus out there and has suffered or is suffering vaso-vagal, there might be this connection, I think.
