From:
Last year I had a steriod injection in my elbow and nearly passed out. The feeling I had is one which I have suffered with for many years but did not have a name for. The doctor just said Oh you have just suffered from a Vaso Vagal faint. Well I didn't know what to say. Eventually there was a name for this awful feeling. Since the age of 11 of have suffered with feeling faint, nauseous, dizzy - cold sweat - dry mouth - strange vision (like looking through the bottom of a beer glass). I usually have a spell on public transport when there is no where to sit and it's crowded and warm, when I'am anxious about something or as you said in your article around the time of my menstrual cycle. I have been on various medication including prozac and am currently taking seroxat - I am female and aged 40.
