My V-V started when I had severe reactions to Prevacid and Nexium, which was originally diagonosed as a severe episode of influenza. Lasted for several months and doctor was using the meds to treat the very symptoms they were causing. I lost 50 pounds in 3 week, chain vomited, could not eat most foods, etc. Used high fibre diet to treat intestinal problems. V-V symptoms have continued for 3 - 4 years. I also have diabetes, ashtma, allergies, irritable bowel syndrome, and conversion disorder. We have successfully treated the V-V episodes with Cheratussin AC.
