I, too, have told my doctor that perhaps my palpitations are caused by something in my stomach. He disagreed. I've had pac's since my mid-20's. I'm now 50. I run, work-out, and am perfectly healthly except for reflux. I currently take Nexium. Though the reflux has stopped, I still experience palpitations after eating or with stress, which leads me to believe it has something to do with constriction of stomach muscles or nerves. I feel the palps next to my navel, heart side. Sitting after a meal or lying down after a meal causes them and even an occasional flutter.Though not diabetic, I seem to have a slight motility problem with digestion which seems to complicate the matter. I feel full and think maybe the food presses against my diaphram which in turn causes the palps. Any comments?
