Vaso-Vagal Syndrome is when the vagus nerve is over excited. This causes various complications as the the vagus nerve is connected to so many parts of the body. When this nerve is over excited this nerve releases a neurotransmitter known as acetylcholine. Acetylcholine released in large quantities causes muscles to contract. This also make the muscles of the diaphram to contract causing Hiatal hernia. When hiatal hernis is caused the stomach get pulled & this causes lot of gastric complications. The antidote for Vaso- Vagal syndrome is Atropine a chemical which blocks the release of acetylcholine.
