VASO-VAGAL REACTION DURING EYE EXAM

Yesterday I had a vaso-vagal reaction while getting an eye exam at my Opthamologist. I came very close to passing out, and sweat through my shirt. It was embarassing. It happened right after he put drops in my eyes to numb them. The drops contained epinephrine, which I now know can cause the vaso-vagal reaaction. Has this ever happened to anyone?
