Had an incident

Last night, after drinking beer... I felt a little dizzy and my stomach was aching. Felt the need to head to the washroom. While urinating I fell unconcious and woke up (I presume a few seconds later?) and was on the floor and just lost... Didn't remember passing out. I hesitated to go to emergency room, my friend told me that it could be serious. So I went reluctanly. The doctor diagnost me with a vagal syncope. Sounded really scary! But what I found curious is that the doctor didn't seem to find it serious?! Is this sickness going to get worst? What are the causes of it?
