I do not fully pass-out ( not yet) but I too have the urge to have bowel movement most of the time when an episode occurs. My problem started from a dcotor injecting me with lidocaine & ephephrine? and had a bad reaction in the chair which I think has activated a vagal nerve in my chest or upper gi. All tests done show no problem. I am on Levbid ( anti-spasmodic) for my upper GI and xanax .25 when I feel nerve sensations in my chest. Levbid may be the key to prevent your mother's symptoms. I would talk to her doctor.
