After several years of fainting, and some panic attacks, I had a tilt table test. You are strapped to a table at about 70 degrees and monitored in that position for 45 minutes. I actually passed out after 11 minutes and my heart stopped. I then found out that my heart stopped after each fainting episode. I was taken into hospital within a few days and fitted with a pacemaker. I have not suffered any attacks, fainting or panic, since and I lead a normal healty life including regular sports and going to the gym 3-4 times a week. In my personal opinion you should try the tilt table test.
