Hi Laurie,
Firstly, don't worry about being annoying - we are here to try and answer your questions (As there are so few places where you can talk to other sufferers).
I wanted to mention that the condition is vastly misunderstood and it is only through investigation that you find out if the vasovagal is psychological or physical, and that investigation should be carried out by a spcialist who is willing to accept either diagnosis (e.g. not one who believes the condition is only psychological). My specialist insists that my condition is physical as I only have attacks when doing physical things e.g. standing up for more than 10 mins regardless of if I am standing still or loving around makes me collapse, also IBS and tiredness (I also have CFS).
HOWEVER, my previous specialist said I must be severely mentally ill as only the severely mentally ill get the condition, as a result he wanted me placed in a secure mental unit - complete opposite ends of a spectrum!!
From what he said there is possibility of a phobia or panic attacks causing the collapse. *BUT* if you have a positive tilt table test then that proves the condition is physical and that must be treated first before going down the psychological route.
From what you said in your last post I would say your husbands was probably physical.
Hope that helps in some way! Becca.
