I'd have to agree that there is a possibility of hereditary issues. My mother has spells where standing long periods of time causes a drop in blood pressure. That is not the case with me--- however if I cough hard or laugh hard----- I can "grey out" at times and other times I have actually blacked out and had a V-V episode where my blood pressure stayed down for a long period. Over the past year or two my daughter has had a "spell" or two where standing in lines for a long period of time--- she broke out in a sweat, felt nauseous and weak, and I assume that her BP probably dropped also. Like Mother, like son, like daughter! Somewhere I thought there was a study being done to determine what the hereditary link was.
