2 Year old daughter had "vagal".. unsure what to do

My 2 year old was sitting at the table eating, and she started shivering... first her lips, then the rest of her body. Her lips turned dark maroonish-purple, and so did her hands. I asked her if she was okay, but she didn't respond. She looked odd. I felt her hands, and they felt like she'd been sitting on a block of ice for a few hours! I tried to warm her up. I kept asking if she was okay, and she nodded her head. She seemed fine, as if nothing had happened. I called the pediatrician's office, and they had me bring her in. He said "vagal episode" and that it probably wouldn't happen again. After reading this site, I am nervous, and have requested follow up consultation. My daughter has been diagosed with Sensory Disfunction, and does not always respond to pain appropriately. (i.e. often doesn't feel pain at all.) Sometimes she does, and sometimes not. Could this be related? Does anyone have any advice or thoughts?
