OMG!! I can't believe how grateful I am to have found this place!! I have suffered from this for at least 3 years now, and fortunately, or unfortunately my episodes only happen 4-5 times a year (or less), but are always scary.

I'm a 45-year old woman, very obese, but otherwise healthy. I lost my husband almost a year ago, and I'm pretty sure that last night was only the 2nd episode since his passing.

I always have stomach pain or cramping like I'm going to have diahhrea. The diahhrea never starts right away, but while I sit waiting to have this bowel movement, the heat rises, I get the clammies, and then feel like I'm going to vomit and pass out. The weakness is unreal, all the time not knowing, am I going to fall off the toilet, throw up and/or mess myself?

I've only lost consciousness once, that I know of, and my husband told me it took me a few minutes to come around. Other than that, I always manage to stave off the passing out, by running the water very cold, and either soaking washcloths and placing them on the back off my neck, or running my wrists under cold water.

Try doing that when your not sure if you're going to "go" or throw up or pass out.

THANK YOU for this forum!!!
