My 10 year old daughter woke up one morning complaining of a severe stomach ache and feeling very hot. She then went into a non-responsive blank stare, her body tightened and shook (not jerky, more like when a child is very angry/frustrated and holds in their anger). This lasted approx. 30-45 sec. she then went limp, lost consciousness, and was incontinent. This lasted approx. 30-45 sec. After regaining movement, she still remained non-responsive for another 2-4 minutes. During entire incident pupils were dialated. Approx. 5 minutes after onset her BP was weak 68/96, pupils slow to react and uneven. CAT scan showed "normal", EEG "normal". I though this was a seizure. Told it could have been syncopy. How can you "pass out" yet still be standing with a blank non-responsive stare? she sees a neurologist this week. would like more info... Thanks!
