I am a 60 year old female. My profession is nursing. I work the night shift (11-7). I had a very frightning experience concerning Vaso-Vasal. I had never heard of this condition, until my Cardiologist explained it to me.

My symptoms were extreme tiredness, nausea, dizziness. Around 3:A.M. one morning I was awaken with a dull pain in the diaphragm, Shortness or breath, sweating profusely, and my face felt as if it was in an ice-berg. I had no control of my bowels, and had slurred speech, but the worse was the extreme stinging sensation in my legs. My hgusband immediately called an ambulance, because my symptoms were so similar to a Heart Attack. After conducting all test at the hospital, blood work indicated no signs of Cardiac Distress. Later the next day I had a follow-up with my Cardiologist who informed me I had an attack of Vaso-Vagal. I was sure I would never see my family again as I was in transit to the Emergency room. I never did Pass Out, but I certqainly thought I was dying! What an Experience!
