I have been going to various doctors for the past six months as my symptoms have gotten increasingly worse and the episodes have lasted longer. Yesterday I had a tilt test and I passed out two minutes into the test. And my heart actually stopped beating. It was scary. It was also the first time ever that a doctor has actually acted like this was a serious condition. Since my first episode nearly 12 years ago, doctors have written the spells off to stress or anxiety or whatever. I've been told to just "lay down" if I feel bad.
Now I've been given some medication to try for a four week period and if that doesn't work I will get a pacemaker. The condition is apparently a lot more severe than the doctor anticipated.
Does anyone else have it this bad?
