Vaso-Vagal

I’m pretty sure that I have this condition. My position required that I travel overseas for a few weeks and I needed quite a few inoculations. During one of these sets of inoculations, I broke out in a massive cold sweat, and felt like I was passing out. It happens very suddenly. The doctor called his nurse in to get some suger water, and he held my legs up in the air to get the blood back into my head. The doctor was visibly shaken because he said my blood pressure dropped way down and I had turned a grey ashen color. The whole episode lasts maybe 5-10 minutes. This has happened to me a handful of times. Usually in a doctors or dentists office. Usually associated with needles. Before this, it happened when I was getting blood taken for a cholesterol test (which should be every 6 months). The last test I went on the technician had trouble finding a vein and was digging around for a while. Although the Vaso-Vagel response did not occur that time, I haven’t been back since because I don’t want to have the response occur. I am a very controlling person and this is something that is out of my control, and I can’t stand it. I need to get my next blood test but I am terrified to do so. By the way, I am 44 years old (ex-infantry), and have a high threshold for pain. Suggestions?
