I would go ahead with the surgery. My problem started in Feb 2004 with having episodes all the time. I am on two med's to stop them now, but in March I had to have a catherization and I was also worried about the local anesthia, I let the nurses and tech's know before hand, they gave me valium and benadryl before the procedure and I had no problems at all. I was awake the whole time. Also in April I had oral surgery after finding out my heart was fine and was put under and I had no problems then either.
