Your incident was ten years ago. I don't know how minor the surgery is but personally I would probably go ahead with it if it's was important to me. Talk to your doctors and their assistants about your VV beforehand so they know how to deal with it should you have a problem. I am not sure what you mean about not telling you if you went into cardiac arrest - certainly they must tell you afterwards but I have no expertise in this area. Good luck.
