I had similar symptoms for 25 years before a nurse mentioned vaso-vagal hypotension to me. Now everything makes sense -- nausea, hot flashes, diarrhea and blackouts that came mostly with menstruation, but also sometimes from reactions to food in restaurants, and from anxiety attacks. Hormonal supplements helped a LOT with the menstrual ups and downs, avoiding chemical preservatives in food helped avoid the food reactions, getting counseling for anxiety eventually stopped the anxiety blackouts, and learning biofeedback helps me stay relaxed. Today I am postmenopausal, and ending the menstrual problems is a huge relief. The menopausal hot flashes sometimes trigger nausea and blackout, but they are minor now. The WORST IS OVER!
