Re: VASOVAGAL EPISODE DURING PREGNANCY, PLS HELP!!!

You mentioned you'd never had a pelvic exam before. My GYN told me that even people that aren't prone to VV attacks often have them when their cervix is touched. Apparently, there is a very sensitive nerve on teh cervix that can trigger an attack. I too am very worried about having VV when I am pregnant. Every time I have an annual pelvic exam, I have a VV attack. It's horrible. I would ask your doctor about the cervical nerve my doctor mentioned and see if he/she can't give you more information about it and how it relates to pregnancy. Good luck and please keep us posted as you go through your pregnancy as I'm thinking of getting pregnant soon and am very worried about my VV attacks and how it might affect pregnancy.
