My episodes started out of the blue and now if I do not limt mt coffee/caffiene to a small amount I will have an episode. I have also increased my salt intake a little and stay well hydrated with water & gatorade. I have had my heart, upper and lower GI checked with no problems found. But I do now makes med's to try to prevent and one to take when it does happen. If I drink too much coffee in the morning, like more than one cup my heart rate will go up to 109, like yesterday morning. I have never fully fainted but as soon as I fell the symptoms ( thank goodness I do have them), I take .25mg of Xanax and lay down a few minutes and I am fine then except a little tired.
