I had my first Vagal response at the age of 22. I had been sleeping, during a night mare, I awaked to a sharp pain in my neck and chest. I felt extremely dizzy, and abnormal. After a terrifying ride to the E.R. via ambulance, I was told that I had had a vagal response probably initiated by the severity of the dream. Since that time I have developed PAC's quite regularly, and suffer from anxiety attacks. What is this strange disorder, and why do medical professional act as if there is nothing wrong.
