To anyone who is interested: My natural doctor has been working with me for 2 years on my issues with VV. She was so excited to show me an article posted in the Townsend Letter for Doctors & Patients-Aug/Set 2003 issue. The title of it is "A missing link to chronic Illness, Allergies and Longevity? Vegas Nerve Imbalance/Hiatal Hernia Syndrome" by Steve Rochlitz. I would assume that one can get this off the internet or call Townsend Letter.

Here is an excerpt from it re: the Hiatal Hernia (which refers to the stomach's protrusion through the opening in the diaphragm muscle): "In many sufferers, any such protrusion causes major hyperexcitability of the Vegus Nerve. The extensive Vegas Nerve is so diverse and so interconnected to so many organs that it has been nicknamed the "wanderer". The slightest upward displacement of the stomach through the diaphragm disorders the Vegas Nerve.

Maybe this would be a step for many sufferers to check out...make sure that you do not have a hiatal hernia that could be causes some of the VV responces.
