Does a fall cause an episode?

My son (4.5 years) just had another episode while at school. This one like others he had between the ages of 1 and 4 resulted from a fall. He falls down and then instead of crying goeas into a seizure and passes out. The entire thing lasts less than a minute and when he wakes up he is very sleepy. After taking him to a neurologist they told me that he was having a response from his Vegal nerve caused by falling and holding his breath. I never knew that this was an actual condition. Has anybody had this experience as a result of falling down? I am worried all over again thinking maybe I should have him reevaluated. Any info would be helpful.
