Unusual Vagal reaction to Fx wrist

I fx my wrist almost 2 months ago - comminuted fx Radius/Ulna Proximal impacted - set with a fixation device w/pins in hand and radius --now pins are out and I'm doing PT - of course my wrist is "locked" from lack of use and scar tissue from the injury - so we are just working on up and down wrist motion at this time - can move it up only 10 degrees and down 20 degrees at this time -- but since removing the pins I am experiencing the normal wrist pain associated with PT - but also getting without warning or stimulation a "vagal- like" reaction with this pain that occurs when my wrist swells and throbs (didn't have this following the fx while the pins were in place) - I get very nauseous and very diaphoretic - my hand gets mottled and my wrist swells and gets very red. My therapist thinks there may be some nerve entrapment from my orig injury - and we have tried ice, heat, stimulation, and TENS to try and alleviate this problem.

Would appreciate any suggestions or links to possible interventions to try. thanks Marie
