Vasovagal syndrome

My daughter is 21 years old and is in college. I just found out she has been having faiting spells, for awhile now. So I told her to go to the campus Dr. They said she had low blood pressure and a very slow heart rate. And at first they thought she had Hypoglycemia ? But then ruled that out, as well as any eating disorder. She is around 5'3" and weighs about 102lbs. She is not an athletic person. So what could be causing this? Thank You Becky
