Mary, I have just started having vaso vagal episodes during the past 6 months. I've kept track of when they occur each month and found that there is a pattern with my cycle. I'm 43 and have experienced the beginning signs of menopause and I am also on Synthroid for hypothyroidism. I mentioned to my doctor about these episodes and all she could confirm was that they were classic vaso vagal episodes and they can be associated with menopause. Maybe try to keep track of when these episodes occur and possibly what you were doing, what you were eating, or if your stress level was high. I was eating A LOT of soy since I am a vegetarian and was feeling terrible for quite some time. I stopped eating soy after my last vaso vagal attack and I have been episide-free for over a month. Sometimes it just takes a little detective work to find out what triggers these things. Good luck!
