When I have had xylocaine with epinephrine for dental freezing procedures, just to let you know it makes my heart start palpitating and I start shaking without any anxious symptoms. I now have freezing without epinephrine and it is fine so I would check to see the type of anesthetic your son is getting. Best of luck to you and your son.
