I agree that stress can be a trigger for VV but triggers vary. Medical procedures are not the trigger for me. I am around your age. I have found that when the episodes begin, if I get stressed over it (and who wouldn't) then the stress aggravates the condition and makes it worse. My husband is pretty good at trying to talk me through my episodes, trying to get me to relax, propping up my feet, getting the pillows, etc. I keep going back to the feeling of vulnerability we all feel because there is very little we can do when it happens, especially if it's in the middle of the night. At least you have had doctors around you when it happens, so if you tell them you have a tendency to do this, they can be prepared. I think you shouldn't short-change yourself from these procedures like a colonoscopy which can be very beneficial. If they haven't found much you can go several years between them.
